This model has been validated by the Hip Insight team and Dr. Murphy. This model can interface with SurgiSTUD’s Hip Stand to provide a platform for total hip arthroplasty surgical training. The 3d printed bony anatomy has cortical, cancellous, and intramedullary canal regions of bone for high biomechanical and tactile fidelity.
This model includes a wide range of soft tissues to enhance the surgical approach and feel. This model can walk trainees through the entire total hip arthroplasty procedure: exposure, retraction, bony resection, reaming, broaching, and implantation. This bilateral model includes the sacrum and the following left and right anatomies: ilium, proximal femur, labrum, synovial capsule, femoral artery, glutes, quads, adductor longus/pectineus, external rotators, piriformis, PSOAS, TFL, sartorius, skin and radiolucent soft tissue.
The model has been validated and approved for use by the internal hip team within Zimmer Biomet.
This product includes the hip model only and for a functional workshop construct, at least one stand and one model are required.
