This model was designed for the Zimmer Biomet showroom with reusability and ease of demonstration in mind. The 3d printed bony anatomy has already been “instrumented” featuring a removable proximal femur head to display the neck cut and the cavity made by the broach allowing users to insert the implant without instrumenting as well as a pre-reamed acetabulum.
This model also includes a wide range of soft tissues to enhance the surgical approach and feel. This model can walk trainees through the entire total hip arthroplasty procedure: exposure, retraction, bony resection, reaming, broaching, and implantation. This bilateral model includes the sacrum and the following left and right anatomies: pre-reamed ilium, pre-broached proximal femur, glutes, quads, adductor longus/pectineus, external rotators, piriformis, PSOAS, TFL, sartorius, fabric-reinforced skin and radiolucent soft tissue.
The model has been validated and approved for use by the internal hip team within Zimmer Biomet.
This product includes the hip model only and for a functional workshop construct, at least one stand and one model are required.
